Yajilin

App stores are crowded with Sudoku and word puzzles, yet the Japanese puzzle tradition holds lesser-known mechanics you can learn in a minute and think about for much longer. Yajilin is one of them: every cell is a clue, a black cell, or part of a single closed loop. Arrow clues count the black cells in their direction, and black cells never touch. It is the first game released from E²S Studio's puzzle series.

Puzzles are generated on the device itself, with no server, and everyone sees the same daily puzzle on the same day. Endless mode serves Easy, Medium and Hard puzzles in a balanced rhythm; daily puzzles are marked on a calendar, get harder towards the weekend as in the newspaper tradition, and completing a month earns its trophy. The first minute is a tutorial that teaches by playing rather than reading, and two-step hints, undo and reset are always within reach.
